How do I register?
Just send the application form in with your 10 dollar fee (note the 10 dollars is to help pay for lunch and refreshments, if you cannot afford it, we can forgo the fee) You should send your application to Los Angeles Brain Bee Los Angeles City College Attn: Amy Sweetman 855 N. Do I need to study anything else other than the Downloadable book?
No all questions will come from the book.
What is the format of the Brain Bee?
The early part of the Brain Bee will consist of fun activities such as a scavenger hunt, and group activities. Then there is a written portion and an anatomy practicum- the top 7 candidates will go on to second round which will consist of a Jeopardy like format, then the top 3 candidates will go on to the final round.
What is the daily schedule of the Brain Bee? The Brain Bee is intended to be a learning experience, so you should plan on arriving at 8:30 am and staying until around 4:00 pm. Lunch will be served as well as water and light snacks.

2:15 pm Announcement of finalists 2nd round of Brain Bee Jeopardy format
3:00 pm Announcment of finalists for 3rd round
3:30-4:00 pm Winner is determined
Do I need a sponsor or a coach? No this is a completely individual contest.
What do I win? The winner received 300.00 dollars and airfare and lodging to participate in the National Brain Bee at the University of Maryland.
The National Brain Bee is a two day event that is filled with incredible learning experiences such as completing an intensive anatomy practicum in the medical lab at UMB, a trip to the National Institute of Health and much, much more.
